Altrad is a leading player in the Belgian construction sector, specializing in industrial scaffolding. From several locations, they realize projects in complex environments. For this, they need software that grows with their projects and processes.
Not the biggest player, but the right one
When Altrad started looking for a new ERP solution in 2015, they invited several parties through a specification document. They were looking for a system that could support not only their administration, but also their complex project operations and calculation.
Offimac initially seemed like an outsider. A smaller software company versus major players. But our in-depth expertise in the construction sector and our customized proposal quickly dispelled the doubt. “When your response came in, we were amazed by the level of detail and the quality of your solution,” Altrad said.

No standard construction package
Altrad works with large-scale projects in the petrochemical sector. Each project requires a precise calculation of materials, working hours, logistics and planning. For this, we developed a high-performance project module on top of Microsoft Business Central together with them.
In addition, we integrated eight of their existing software packages — from planning to personnel management — into one coherent system. These links were essential to allow their business processes to work together smoothly.
System you can build on
With 180 users spread over 5 sites, this was no small exercise. We deliberately chose an approach in which we intensively trained the key users and they anchored the change internally. This led to a rapid implementation that landed smoothly on the work floor.
In the meantime, we have been working together for ten years. Altrad continues to evolve, and so must their digital environment. Every year new needs arise: links with Peppol, adjustments in VAT returns, new requirements regarding sustainability reporting… We ensure that their system keeps up. And stays that way.
